Weeds can reduce the yield of sunflower crop

Weeds can reduce the production of sunflower up to 20 – 45%. If the weeds are not removed on time they compete for the crop for light, food and water. The sunflower crop field should be kept clean from weeds for the first 40 to 45 days to achieve better production. Hoeing is the best way to remove weeds because it helps to remove weeds, make soil porous and good air circulation through the soil.
