Punjab Assembly approves a resolution to fix a wheat price at Rs 2,000 per mound.

The Punjab Assembly approves a resolution to fix a wheat price at Rs 2,000 per mound and order to implement within 2 weeks. Wheat seeds cost Rs. 3,600 per mound, DAP fertilizer costs Rs 4,000 and urea fertilizer costs Rs 1,800. While the price of wheat for farmers at Rs. 1600 per mound which was insufficient and below the cost of production. Previously, The price of wheat was fixed at Rs1650 by the government of Pakistan.
