Pakistani Kinnow exporters facing stiff competition in International markets with Turkey

In international market Pakistani Kinnow exporters are facing very stiff competition with Turkey. Government must consider fruits and vegetables in export package. Chairman fruit and vegetable association Mr. Waheed Ahmed told media that Pakistan has exported 125,000 tons of kinnow till the mid of January which is 5% less as compare to relevant time duration last year. While explaining the reasons of low exports he also mentioned that Turkey found bumper crop of its Kinnow this year also due to low currency their crop prices are also cheap in international markets as compare to other countries. India offers their farmers 5% rebate at export of fruits and vegetables. Waheed Ahmed also appealed Government to take fruits and vegetables in their export package.
