Olive Cultivation On 15,100 Acres To Be Acheived By 2022

A target of cultivating olive on an area of 15,100 acres of land will be completed by 2022. Punjab Agriculture Secretary Wasif Khursheed said, during three years of the project olive had been cultivated on 7,900 acres of land and the set target would also be achieved with a commitment. Barani Agricultural Research Institute Chakwal provided free olive plants besides technical training to farmers to make Pothohar an olive valley. The secretary visited the experimental farm in the institute besides olive extraction unit where he was briefed about the extraction of olive oil. He also planted a sapling in the institute.
