Grade potatoes for better returns

Farmers should do grading of potatoes and use egg-sized potatoes of 35 to 55 mm in diameter, as seeds. Farmers must thoroughly clean the soil covered potatoes before filling them in sacks and use Patson sacks for filling. The price of loosely filled sack is always low, so better crop price can be achieved when graded. Fill cut or damaged potatoes separately from healthy potatoes. The best and easiest way to do this is to take the potatoes out of the ground and fill them in baskets and invert it on clean ground and shed all the soil from potatoes.
