Don’t burn crop residues after harvesting rice: agriculture department

Temperature increase on upper surface of field affects the soil fertility.

The spokesman Agriculture Punjab said that rice growers should avoid burning of crop residues after rice harvesting , due to this, the organic substance at the upper surface of the field will be lost and soil fertility is affected. For this reason , deep ploughing must be done to reduce crop residues by using Rota waiter or disc hero. Burning crop residues cannot only affect the fertility of the soil.But also increases air pollution.
