Cultivation of canola crop

Canola is an oilseed crop that is grown in the month of October. Registered varieties of canola should be cultivated to obtain the higher yield. Clay loamy soil is very suitable for its cultivation. Farmers can cultivate canola crop by using different sowing techniques like broadcasting or drilling method. The distance between row to row should be 30-40 cm, plant to plant should be 8 – 12 cm apart and the depth should be 2 – 3 cm. The soil should be moist for the better germination of canola seeds.
